However Gia tried to lend him a hand to attract more people to attend.
Ethan may have loved some aspects of his magical side, but to be honest he didn't want magic to help get to where he's at in life. In fact he told Gia do not use the aura of creativity or any magic spell she might know to attract viewers.
So she did the next best thing she could think of.
Stripping down to her swimwear and be his back up dancer.
Though it didn't attract all that many viewers but it sure to make Ethan play a bit more loudly.
After all was said and done. They sat down to eat dinner.
"So, Gia what made you decide to help me out back there? I thought you were afraid of such things..."
"Me afraid of a little dancing?" Gia giggled, "Surely you jest. My whole culture values the meaning of dances."
"Huh.. So why did you help me?"
Gia just looked at him a gave him a gentle smile. "Your music really speaks to me, I can tell your a deep thinker with many ideas.. but you don't get many chances due to people judging you by your looks," She sighed and looked at into his eyes.
"Which I think is quite rude.. you look handsome the way you are. Plus an inner beauty to boot.. I rarely meet many multi colored souls but-"
Ethan started to blush a bit. "You think I'm- " He shook his head and changed the subject. "Many colored souls?"
"Hm, yes.. the eyes are the windows to the soul. Mermaids are quite better at it then us. Fae however we tell the color of your aura and soul. Yours my dear, is a dark Blue which tells me you have quite a bit of wisdom, there are three rings around it though, a gray ring that tell me you suffer from a depression. Which in turn makes me sad to see. Purple which tells me you want romance, then there is orange which tell me both that you are creative and have quite bit of energy to not calm down. "
Ethan, about choked on his food. That's exactly right.
"You shouldn't turn to bottle every time you feel sad though. There are better outlooks in life."
"What do you do when you feel down?"
Gia looked down, "When I was in that cell for all those years. Leif may have taken away my freedom, but one thing he could never rob me of was my happiness. I turned my dreams, heh, I kinda got carried away with them. When I didn't sleep, I would think of my memories of parents my happy memories. Looked threw my small window at the night sky the beauty in the stars never stopped to amaze me."
"Most would've given up.... I am glad you were strong enough to hold on."
"I had to hold on.. if I were to give up and hang myself. Leif would've won, and all those people would suffer needlessly." She looked around.. "With me gone. My brother isn't to worried with terrorizing everyone. In fact I feel it. He's to busy searching for me. He can't win though.."
"We won't let him. I am sorry you had to go threw that-"
"No need to apologize. It wasn't your doing."
She saw some sadness in his eyes. "You know Ethan let me show you what the joy of the sky can bring."
"No don't look down! Look up.. I got down on the ground risking bugs..." Gia shuddered at thought of little insects. "I want you to look at this with me."
Ethan began stare upwards..
"Aren't they beautiful?" Gia asked.
"Well, they're quite interesting. I wonder what other life is out there..."
She started to point in a certain direction. "Well if the stories of the sibling races of the Fae and Elves are out there. We believe that's where the Omicri and the Deliven may be. If our oracle is right the two races haven't been getting along. That's a real shame."
"Why haven't they been getting along?"
"Conflict in belief's, one race thinks they're superior to the other. Such a shame.. when will people learn everyone and everything is beautiful. ....Even little insects.. as scary as they are... creepy crawling little things...."
"How about Milk?"
"Milk isn't a life! It's gross, and meant for a baby cow. You can drink it if you want, but I won't." Gia huffed wondering why nobody understands she doesn't like milk.
Ethan had titled his head to the side. He himself is trying to figure her out. Brave enough to stand up to her brother and be alone for many years. Brave enough to get in swimsuit and dance in front of strangers
However, she fears of milk, insects, and orange juice. She's really an odd combination of bravery and fears.
Regardless of that, she's very beautiful not just on the outside but on the inside as well. Gia is quiet the interesting and beautiful soul. Well to him anyway.
"As beautiful as these stars are. They're nothing compared to you."
She smiled.. "Why thank you Ethan."
They both stood up.
"I had a great time tonight Ethan and-"
Ethan knows he really shouldn't have grabbed the princess into a kiss like that. But he honestly couldn't help himself the way she looked at that moment he had to do something. Though a part of him hopes he isn't meant with rejection like he was several times over. Hopefully he didn't ruin his friendship with her.
However, Ethan got the surprise of his life when she returned the kiss.
That night they still decided to sleep in separate tents. Not because of her saying no. He just didn't think it was proper to do anything in a tent.
The next morning he got a phone call back home from, it was from his little brother Elliot.
Who was overjoyed with news.
Ethan already knew he was his brother was voted off the show The One. But what Ethan never suspected was his little brother dating another girl who was also voted off.
It was an odd way for two people to come together... but he was thrilled for his little brother and Amber.
Ethan remembered her on the show with the twins.
Honestly maybe that whole 'everything happens for a reason' saying is correct.
They've been dating now for about a year.
Elliot took his girlfriend to the park and proposed.
Ethan was thrilled for his little brother. He finally found his soulmate.
But there was more news ahead.
Apparently the twins Elsa and Elaine are now starting university. Boy where did those years go? Ethan thought to himself.
Elton joined the exchange program and met his soulmate, the lovely Andrea Landgraab.
'Way to go little brother.' Ethan thought fondly to himself. The whole family were happy for the two new couples to be perfectly honest.
Elvis aged up into a child and is now starting his first day of school.
Little Emily is now a toddler and saying her first words.
He smiled.. "I miss all of you. Tell mom and dad I'll be back in town a month a I have couple of more shows- I'll be sure to be there for that wedding."
"Wouldn't have it any other way... and if I may ask-"
"I'll play entertainment for free." Ethan said with a small smile, he knew what he was going to ask. He enjoys doing it especially for family heck he already has a song starting to forming in his mind for the occasion and he'd probably have one for Andrea's and Elton's wedding to.
"Thanks it'll mean alot to me and Amber.."
That morning that started off with alot of happiness. Even more so shocking to him was Gia wasn't denying a thing.

Note: The conversation was only half planned.. the other part just came from the character's mouths themselves or at least how it was playing out in my head. Gia and Ethan jr are both odd souls if you think about it. Gia has many fears of the silliest of things like milk, orange juice, cows, butterflies.. but would take a bullet for a total stranger in a quick minute. To bad brave and coward are conflicting traits because it's pretty much what she is a brave coward.
Ethan is a party animal with no qualms with running around town naked LOL.. but he still worries about how he comes off as a gentleman. No woo-hoo in a tent for instance. I've been pulling my hair out on how to write him as a proper, brooding, party animal, but I am pretty sure I got him down good. If I had to give Ethan jr a sixth trait it would be unlucky he has had horrible luck. Like this trip it was opportunity to make $25.00 in Egypt nobody gave him a dime the whole six days he was there.
The upside is his romance with Gia has blossomed and when he got home he got promotion anyway. : )
You can tell there was a Rosaline reference in there with Omicri and Deliven... I need to get back to that story pretty soon.
As for the mermaids being better at telling aura's then the fae.. well if I ever get island paradise I will be telling my mermaid mythology one day. But for Flynn's generation we're going to learn my take on genies getting trapped in lamps. Which will be fun to write for as well.. since they in my stories don't have a god or goddess. They themselves were the gods, goddess that got punished by Fate himself.
